Name Brands

March 30, 2008

Some people buy products whether food or clothing and other things that have brands for they have been on the market for many years and people have trust in the makers and producers of the items. People patronize products with brands for they are after the quality and durability that for years have been tried and tested by the people or consumers. Consumers who buy name brand products won't mind spending extra money for as long as they are satisfied with their things they buy and they get their money's worth.

Familiar Concerns

March 23, 2008

Familiarity breeds contempt. Personally, I don’t really believe that this saying is true although at times, whether I admit it or not, it has some application in my own life.

During my younger years, there were times, I can’t fully understand why it’s very difficult for me to express my love, affection and concern to own family the way I’m showing it to my friends and brothers and sisters in the community.

At home, I usually received criticisms and corrections more often encouragement and praises. Whereas when I’m with friends, words of encouragement and praises are generously given. During personal sharing, I discovered that there are a lot of people who share the same sentiments with me.
Now as I grow older, I realized that generally people are like that. When someone does something very admirable, people tend to review their experience of him that are negative.

How To Eat Manoes

March 21, 2008

Do you know how to eat mangoes? There’s a little technique to enjoying them more. According to my father, mangoes are supposed to be eaten from the narrow end going towards the broader end. As you’ll get nearer to the ripe part, the fruit would get sweeter and sweeter and if you’d started with the not so-sweet part and ended with the ripe part, you’d have a sweet taste in your mouth when you are through eating.

How Breastfeeding Help Us Bond?

March 16, 2008

My friend’s baby was a preemie and had to stay in the hospital for 5 days. She couldn’t feed her anything because she had tubes in her nose. Her doctor suggested she pumped her breasts and store the milk for when she came home. She followed his suggestion, and her milk came in great. She stored enough so that as soon as her baby could begin sucking from a bottle, she had her breast milk to drink. And she did real well breastfeeding when she came home, too. She said that breastfeeding helped them bond because they hadn’t been able to get very close while her baby was in the hospital.

Opposites Attract

March 10, 2008

There is the old saying that goes, "opposites attract." But why do opposites really attract? I think the reason behind it is the fact that each one has different attributes that each party finds it better and nicer compared to what they possess and to find one that will complement each other so they will become a good match. What you cannot have will be filled up by your partner.

Things Made Easy

March 6, 2008

One day, my brother bought a ready made collapsible end table at a Walmart store. He assembled it at home. I am amazed how some people make things to make it easier for the consumers to assemble things like the end table my brother did. Makers of ready made products thought to produce these things because here in America people do things themselves and life here is fast pace and also people are practical. So we are lucky to have people around who make things easier for the end consumer.

Pirated CD

March 2, 2008

Everywhere you go in the Philippines you will see displayed pirated items in the streets and even inside the mall. I really wonder what the optical media board (OMB) is doing about this. Even how many raids they do, sellers just keep coming back in the streets. They sell everything like movies, songs, computer games, and even licensed softwares. It is only in the Philippines.
